South
Coast Community Television applied for a digital broadcast licence in
2000. Concerned at delays by the regulator, SCTV brought us in to
create a short-term press campaign late in 2001 and to oversee all
communications. The campaign was very successful, achieving important
coverage both in print and broadcast media, and on significant
discussion boards monitored by ComReg, such as boards.ie. RTE radio and
TV, Irish Independent, Irish Times, Irish Examiner, Business &
Finance and Sunday Tribune gave the story its fullest coverage. SCTV was
finally awarded a licence to broadcast digital terrestrial TV in the
Munster region, covering over 300,000 households, in 2004.
